Yorkshire Day Tour Booking Conditions

These Yorkshire Day Tour Booking Conditions explain the terms and conditions for travelling with Best of Britain – Yorkshire Day Tours, including payments, cancellations, luggage, accessibility and passenger information.

Best of Britain – Yorkshire Day Tours is operated by Best of Britain Holidays Ltd.

By booking a tour with us, you agree to these Booking Conditions.

1. Yorkshire Day Tour Contract

By making a booking, the lead passenger confirms that they have the authority to accept these Booking Conditions on behalf of all members of the party.

A contract between you and Best of Britain Holidays Ltd will exist as soon as your booking has been confirmed and payment has been received.

These Booking Conditions are governed by English law and any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

2. Booking and Tour Price

You may pay for your tour through our secure online booking system operated by FareHarbor.

Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

All prices shown on our website include all applicable fees and VAT where applicable.

Once your booking has been confirmed, the price of your tour will not be subject to any surcharges.

3. If You Cancel or Change Your Tour

If you need to cancel or change your tour, please contact us by email or telephone as early as possible and we will do our best to assist.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before departure will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are normally non-refundable, although we may use discretion in exceptional circumstances.

Customers who fail to join the tour at the advertised departure time will be treated as a no-show and will not normally be entitled to a refund.

Approved refunds will normally be processed within 5–10 working days.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you report to the correct departure point at the correct time for the commencement of your tour and all subsequent departures during the tour.

4. Yorkshire Day Tour Changes and Cancellations

Whilst we endeavour to avoid changes, we reserve the right to amend tour itineraries, timings, routes, stops, attractions, vehicles, or other arrangements where necessary due to operational requirements or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Tours may occasionally need to be cancelled or altered due to severe weather, road closures, traffic disruption, industrial action, vehicle breakdown, government restrictions, attraction closures, insufficient passenger numbers, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where possible, we will offer a suitable alternative, transfer, or refund where appropriate.

In the unlikely event that we cancel a tour due to insufficient bookings or operational viability, customers will be offered either:

  • a full refund; or
  • the option to transfer to an alternative date or tour where available.

We will always aim to provide as much notice as reasonably possible.

We cannot accept responsibility for consequential or indirect losses, including additional travel, accommodation, or other costs arising from changes or cancellations outside our reasonable control.

We reserve the right to substitute vehicles where necessary.

5. Tour Activities and Third-Party Services

Certain elements of tours may be provided by independent suppliers, attractions, venues, cafés, restaurants, activity providers, or transport operators over whom we have no direct control.

Where you participate in any activity facilitated by or arranged in connection with the tour, your contract for that activity will be with the operator providing the activity and not with Best of Britain Holidays Ltd.

We cannot accept responsibility for the acts, omissions, delays, closures, cancellations, or service standards of third-party suppliers.

Customers are responsible for checking allergen and ingredient information directly with food providers where applicable.

6. Insurance

We strongly recommend that all customers obtain suitable travel insurance appropriate to their individual requirements, including cover for cancellation, personal injury, illness, medical assistance, and personal belongings.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have adequate insurance cover where required.

Please read these Yorkshire Day Tour Booking Conditions carefully before confirming your booking.

7. Passenger Behaviour and Safety

We want all guests to enjoy their day. We reserve the right to refuse travel or terminate the tour of any passenger whose behaviour, in the reasonable opinion of the Tour Leader, is unsafe, abusive, disruptive, intoxicated, likely to cause distress to others, or likely to cause damage to property.

In these circumstances refunds will not normally be given and we shall not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred as a result.

Departure times are strict and tours cannot be delayed for late arrivals.

Customers are responsible for wearing suitable clothing and footwear appropriate for weather conditions and walking terrain.

In consideration of other passengers, we ask that food with strong odours is not consumed on the Minicoach.

All passengers are required by law to wear seat belts where fitted and to remain seated whilst the vehicle is in motion.

8. Children

For safety and comfort reasons, children under the age of 5 are not permitted on our public tours unless specifically approved in advance by Head Office.

Where approval is given, customers must provide a suitable child car safety seat which complies with UK legal requirements and fits standard seat belts.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Customers are responsible for advising us in advance if a child seat or booster seat is legally required.

9. Accessibility and Medical Requirements

Before booking, passengers should ensure that a tour is suitable for their personal mobility, medical, and physical requirements.

Some destinations visited may include uneven surfaces, steep paths, steps, cobbled streets, or historic areas that are not fully accessible.

Standard foldable wheelchairs may be carried in the luggage compartment subject to available space. We are unable to accommodate motorised wheelchairs on our tours.

Please contact us before booking if you intend to travel with a wheelchair, mobility aid, or if you have accessibility requirements.

Please note that there are steps into the Minicoach and some assistance may be required when boarding or leaving the vehicle.

Where a passenger requires personal assistance or support during a tour, this must be provided by an appropriate accompanying person.

We reserve the right to refuse participation on a tour where, in the reasonable opinion of the Tour Leader, the tour is unsuitable for the passenger’s mobility, medical, behavioural, or safety requirements.

10. Rail Travel

Any rail travel arranged in connection with our tours is provided by third-party rail operators. Rail tickets are optional and are subject to the rail operator’s own terms and conditions.

Rail travel is not sold as part of a package holiday and Best of Britain Holidays Ltd cannot accept responsibility for delays, cancellations, timetable changes, strikes, engineering works, or other issues relating to rail services.

11. Luggage Restrictions

Luggage on our tours is limited to one medium-sized suitcase per passenger for transportation in the luggage compartment together with one small bag on the Minicoach for daily essentials.

Suitcases should not normally exceed 20kg in weight.

We reserve the right to refuse excessive, oversized, or unsuitable luggage.

Customers are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the tour and we accept no responsibility for loss or damage unless caused by our negligence.

Any lost property found on our vehicles will be retained for a reasonable period where practical, but we cannot guarantee recovery or return.

12. Weather Conditions

In the event of adverse weather conditions, we will endeavour to adapt the tour to make the best of the situation while prioritising the safety and comfort of passengers at all times.

However, we cannot be held responsible for delays, diversions, deviations, or cancellations caused by weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

13. Illness and Health Protection

Customers should not travel if they are suffering from any contagious illness or condition that may pose a risk to other passengers or staff.

14. Assistance Dogs and Animals

Registered assistance dogs are welcome on our tours, however customers must notify Head Office in advance of travel.

No other animals or pets are permitted on our tours.

15. Photography

From time to time we may take photographs or videos during tours for promotional or marketing purposes. Please inform your guide if you would prefer not to appear in any photographs or videos.

16. Complaints

If you experience a problem during your tour, please notify your guide or contact us as soon as possible so we have the opportunity to resolve the issue.

Any formal complaints should be submitted in writing within 14 days of the tour date.

17. Privacy

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please ensure you have read these Booking Conditions before travelling.

18. General

Our tours are guided day excursions and do not constitute package holidays under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.

Nothing in these Booking Conditions affects your statutory rights under English consumer law.
